Nordic Ski Guide
KITS FROM COOL TO COLDEST
Do yourself a favor and do not go cross country skiing in your oversized down coat. With varying temperatures and locations, you need to dress for success when cross country skiing. From the wind chill of the northern latitudes to the warmth of the Sierra Nevada’s you need to layer up and be ready to minimize sweat build up because right around the corner is shade, wind and perhaps a snow squall or two. We like to focus on temperatures as it relates to where we ski. Take a peek, see what works for you and go for a ski.
Think light and layers to accommodate breathability and air movement.
Maybe adding a midlayer or vest will help.
For when you just need to get out there.
